Watson makes life-size figurative sculptures out of various clays and paper mache. Through these materials Watson explores the visceral qualities of the human body. His work is satirical rendered in a crude cartoonish manner. Employing humour as a tool Watson explores the absurdity of contemporary Britain. Greed and consumption are recurring themes and Watson's practice, his sculptures revel in the grotesque, a response to complex political and cultural landscape we find ourselves in and the vitriolic nature of public discourse.
