Elizaveta Zalieva is a contemporary artist whose practice explores themes of daily life, memory preservation, the collective unconscious, and the symbols of modern culture. Through her work, she aims to immerse viewers in her personal artistic mythology, employing an experimental approach to both subject matter and visual language.

Elizaveta holds an MA in Environmental Humanities from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice (2022–2024), a foundation in Contemporary Art from the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (2020–2021), and a degree in Graphics from Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design (2012–2018). Her work has been presented in both solo and group exhibitions internationally, including Isola (2024) at Pushkinskaya 10 in St. Petersburg, Everything I Know About the Invisible (2022) at MOST in St. Petersburg, and Feminist Resistance – New Artistic Language Evolving in Russia (2022) at the Old Munch Museum in Oslo. Her earlier solo shows include Place, Marked by a Star (2019) in St. Petersburg.

Elizaveta's practice spans various media, from painting and film to installation and performance. She has participated in notable group exhibitions such as the Ca’ Foscari Short Film Festival (2024), Dreams of Freedom. P.S. at the Tretyakov Gallery (2021), and To Embrace and to Cry at the 6th Ural Industrial Biennial of Contemporary Art (2021). Her works are held in collections such as The Manege and Omelchenko Gallery, as well as private collections.

In addition to her artistic work, Elizaveta collaborates with cultural and academic initiatives, including workshops and projects such as Towards a Food Atlas NO-CITY Summer School (2023) and the Curatorial Forum Workshops in St. Petersburg (2021). Her artistic journey is shaped by her experiences with archaeological expeditions, street performances, and volunteer work at events such as the European Biennale of Contemporary Art (Manifesta 10).
